Lee Parker and Monopoly Tournaments

7 August 2007 by YukonJen

I had the strangest dream last night. I dreamed of a former high school classmate: Lee Parker. After not even thinking about him in many, many (too many to count) years, how random that I should dream of him. I mean really. However, it’s even more random that I dreamed that we were going to compete in a Monopoly tournament.

Monopoly? I know have real estate on my mind….

Lee Parker now. What a blast from the past. Now that I’m all grown up (almost) I don’t mind admitting that I had a schoolgirl crush on him. He was a pianist, a musician…what can I say? I have a weakness for musicians. It was a pretty heavy crush though and lasted from grade 7 to grade 12. Six years of complete and utter torture for me though, because I know that my crush was one-sided. I would have done anything for that Mr. Parker–in fact I think I did. I swallowed what little pride I had after grade 9 and I think I single-handedly helped Mr. Parker pass grade 10, 11, and 12 Algebra–not to mention Mr. Griffiths English classes.

Monopoly tournamentsI don’t even believe I got a thank you for it either. Whatever. I’ve played it forward all my life. Maybe that’s why I was dreaming we were going to compete in a Monopoly tournament. Is there even such a thing as a Monopoly tournament? Maybe I’ll just have to organize one.

I think I have far too many things going on in with real estate at this moment. I am anxious for my remodel to be done.
